The Arblaster represents modern long-range warfare. He is most effective against Units.

Behavior Edit

Like the Archer, Arblasters move along the path and attack all enemy units or structures with the exception of traps. Traps are ignored and damage the Arblaster when it runs over them.

General Assessment Edit

The Arblaster becomes unlocked as you progress further into the game. With its high damage per second ratio and relatively cheap morale cost, it is a preferred unit by many players in both offensive and defensive strategies. Depending on your hero's level and stats, the Arblaster may not be a high priority unit when it is first unlocked. However, as your Morale increases and you begin to level up the Arblaster, they become a very powerful asset.

Defense Edit

With their long ranged attacks and high damage per second, many players use Arblasters in their defensive strategies. Arblasters are most effective in a defensive design where they can fire across another nearby lane. Though the Arblaster will be vulnerable to opposing long range attacks, especially Mortars, deploying this type of strategy will help pick off the opposing units and ensure that your Arblasters are protected from close range combat units.

Attack Edit

With their high damage per second ratio and relatively low morale, Arblasters make a great offensive unit, especially later in the game. Due largely to their rapid fire shots, Arblasters are most effective against opposing troops and can eliminate most opposing units with ease. Additionally, though all towers have a 50% resistance to piercing, Arblasters are certainly not useless against towers. A group of Arblasters can often take down a single tower in a few seconds, but are most effective against opposing troops.

War Boost (Frenzy Frost Blaster)Edit

To activate this special elite boost, an alliance needs to finish an alliance wars season at the first or second place. Frenzy Frost Blasters deal ice damage instead of piercing damage. Upon dying, a frost blaster releases a healing effect that affects friendly units in offense mode and structures in defense mode around him for a few seconds.

Strengths

Slowing effect: With his ice damage, a frost blaster can effectively slow down an enemy unit.

Range: With their big range, Frenzy Frost Blasters are able to fight well across lanes.

Healing: A dying frost blaster heals surrounding units, making a group of them hard to overcome. Even heavy attacks from things like a Bladestorm or a mortar attack often only kill one blaster, which instantly heals the rest of the group. When used on the defense, even structures can be healed this way.

WeaknessesEdit

Fragile: Compared to other boosted units, a Frenzy Frost Blaster doesn't have much health. In groups this is, however, often compensated by the healing effect the first dying blaster releases.

Structures: Like the original arblaster, its boosted version is of little help against towers and obstacles.

Easily distracted: Like cannons, frost blasters are able to reach towers or obstacles in the next lane. Since they cannot deal much damage against structures, this can keep them occupied and prevent them from advancing.

Instant area damage: Instant damage that kills an entire group of frost blasters at once effectively neutralises their ability to heal others after death. This makes spells like Swordrain, Blizzard, and potentially Hammerstrike effective against groups of frost blasters. Ogre strikes have the same advantage, if they can get close enough.
