A Barricade made out of wood stops the invader for a short time. It is a good strategy to place it close to a tower. It is the most affordable way to slow down the attackers.
Using barricades, players can block attacking troops for a while. Compared to its counterpart, the blockade, a barricade is weaker, but also much cheaper and requires less time to upgrade. Barricades are the first obstacle available to a player.
Frosters don't attack Barricades. Unless destroyed by the hero or others units, the frosters will remain stuck behind them.
Frosters are also unable to damage barricades despite their AOE type attacks. For ex. If an enemy unit is standing very close to a blockade, and gets attacked by a froster, both the unit and the barricade will get the Ice AOE effect but the barricade wont take any damage from it.
Barricades become even stronger than maxed blockades once the elite boost 'Tough Barricade' is activated.
